As a courtesy to our new patients and their general dentist, there is no fee involved for the initial visit to our office. We reserve 75 minutes for initial appointments to allow Dr. Stryker sufficient time to do a thorough examination and to discuss his findings with you. During the initial exam, we will take digital photographs, a panorex x-ray, a profile x-ray and present an interactive program about orthodontics. Should treatment be indicated we may need to take diagnostic records consisting of impressions to make models of the teeth. We can take these records at the initial visit or schedule an appointment at a later date. We will also go over what your investment for orthodontic treatment will be and the payment options that we offer. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We also offer a discount for paying in full, an in-house payment plan and third party financing with no down-payment and payment plans as long as 60 months.
During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
